CARE International vision to 2030 and
its contribution to the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs)

Together with our partners and allies, we support 200 million people from the most vulnerable and excluded communities to overcome poverty and social injustice.

Here is the impact we have planned to achieve in the world in 2030, based on our more than 75 years of fighting poverty and humanitarian action in a rapidly changing world.

Objectives to 2030:

Objective 1

Gender Equality (GE)

Making 50 million people of all genders enjoy greater gender equality, particularly by ending Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and strengthening the voice, leadership and education of girls and women.

Right to nutrition and water

Enabling 75 million people -mostly girls and women- to enjoy their right to food, water and adequate nutrition to a greater extent.

Objective 2

Objective 3

Right to health

Ensuring that 50 million people improve enjoyment of their right to health and that 30 million women improve enjoyment of their right to sexual and reproductive health.

Humanitarian action (HUM)

Benefiting at least 50 million people through quality humanitarian assistance with a gender perspective. This action currently targets 10% of those affected by serious crises.

Objective 4

Objective 5

Economic justice for women

Ensuring that 50 million women have more equal access to and control over resources and economic opportunities.

Climate justice

Enabling 25 million poor and marginalized people -particularly girls and women- to strengthen their resilience and adaptive capacities to the effects of climate change and contribute to the energy transition.
